Two sided white baby frames. One side holds a 5" x 7" baby photograph and the other holds a beautiful poem. Poetry reads:

I sit for the first time today,
shifting laundry in the way.
Cereal scattered across the floor,
handprints on a just-cleaned door.
Toys underfoot in every room,
the kitchen in need of a mop and broom.

So tired.....yet what did I accomplish TODAY?

I read Go Dog Go a dozen times,
recited a book of nursery rhymes.
Giggled as bubbles danced in the sky,
wisely replied to the question, "WHy?"
Scolded tiny feet too close to the street,
wrestled shoes on a toddler's feet.
Kissed a boo-boo and dried a tear,
gave a first potty a rousing cheer!
Refused to surrender to an angry fit,
cried in quiet as frustration hit.
Refereed who would have the blue cup,
insisted on nap time and never gave up.
Prodded and pleaded to eat the peas,
gave horseback rides on hands and knees.
Delighted to spot a ladybug
shared in a glorious teddy bear hug.
Taught little fingers to count 1..2..3,
reminded to use thank-you and please.
Tucked a wee one in snug and tight,
cherished a sweet wet kiss goodnight.

And I accomplished all these things...TODAY!

I go to bed one step closer to my goal, my greatest challenge, my greatest role.
I am blessed and honored to be a Mother,
a privilege I'd never leave to another.
I want to watch my children grow, to shape their lives, then let them go.
The rewards will come in so many ways,
so I pray my tomorrow be just like today.
